Get Off to a Great Start at RCC at New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is an important introduction to life at Rockland Community College for all first-year students. This event offers you the opportunity to:
  • Learn about the wide range of campus resources available to you
  • Work with the Student Success Team to create your fall schedule
  • Speak with current students, faculty, and staff prior to the fall semester
We’ll make it easy for you!

Come to campus and get registered anytime Monday-Friday during business hours (and select Saturdays!) - no appointments necessary.

Attend Orientation

New Student Orientation at RCC is an invaluable experience that provides you with the information you need to begin your college journey. You’ll work with your Student Success Advisor to register for classes, find out more about RCC’s support services, and even learn how to get involved in clubs and activities on campus.

Team Up With Advising

During New Student Orientation, you’ll meet with your Student Success Advisor, who is part of your Student Success Team, along with your Faculty Advisor, Peer Mentors, and other experts. If you’d like to reach out to your Student Success Advisor before New Student Orientation, find their name and contact information by searching for your program of study on the who is my advisor page.

REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Your Student Success Team will provide you with a list of recommended courses that align with your academic, career, and transfer goals. Once you make your class selections, you can register using the Self-Service Banner, which will be explained during New Student Orientation.

Pay Your Bill

Once your financial aid application is complete, you will receive information about the tuition and fees owed, as well as RCC’s convenient payment plans. If you have any questions, please contact our staff at [email protected].
